Chapman River Friends- Free Educational Bushwalk

Past Event

Please find below the dates for August in the Chapman River Regional Park.

This year we are lucky again having some very special walks with some Special Guests.

They will share their knowledge about our amazing wildlife and give us another perspective on the rich diversity in the Chapman River Regional Park.

SATURDAY 6 AUGUST | 3PM-5PM | 42 Tersonia Way - STRATHALBYN

Chapman River Regional Park

SPECIAL GUESTS

Meet our great tandem Colin & Greg!

Colin Crane from "Plant diseases in natural ecosystems” will give us a little introduction to the vast and hidden fungi kingdom that includes yeast, moulds and mushrooms!

Greg Brennan from "Grazing Innovation" will share with us his passion for native grasses and legumes and how they can improve the soil.

Our speakers will help us to have a better understanding about soil matters and how the soil is actively related to our wildflowers.

The bushwalks are suitable for children 6y+.

Your safety is YOUR responsibility. Paths are rough.

Wear appropriate bush clothes, closed sturdy shoes, sunhat, sunscreen, (raincoat).

BYO water bottle.

Be aware that our walks are educational with a lot of stops.

Please keep your canine friend at home - to give us a chance to observe our wildlife during our walks.

The walks will go ahead if it is raining but in the event of severe weather it may be cancelled.

On the day (morning) of the walk check our CRF Facebook page or contact us:
