There are lots of ways members of the community can help us protect and preserve our environment and join us in the journey towards sustainability.
Volunteering and Participation Opportunities
- Join the Friends of Geraldon Gardens (FroGGs Inc) a group of community members creating a botanic garden in Maitland Park with local native flora.
- Join Chapman River Friends, a group of volunteers who help in the rehabilitation and promotion of the Chapman River Regional Park.
- Participate in Northern Agricultural Catchments Council projects and programs. NACC is our regional NRM group.
- Take part in community planting days in June and July every year. Watch the City's events calendar and Facebook page for dates.
- Take part in community groups who organise clean-up days of bushland and coastal reserves near their homes. More here
