Swimming Lessons

The Aquarena Swim School provides a wide range of programs for all ages and abilities.

Our term classes are offered during the school terms and break for the school holidays.

Our holiday programs are held in the January, October and April school holidays. These are intensive programs for maximum improvement.

At Geraldton Aquarena we pride ourselves in being endorsed by Royal Life Saving Society and accredited by Austswim. All of our instructors hold Austswim teaching qualifications, the industry leader in swimming and water safety.

We provide professional, and experienced instruction in a safe and enjoyable environment. Lessons emphasise a high-quality learning experience teaching swimming technique and water safety.

Term 2 2019

10 Week term

Lessons commencing 29 April until 5 July. 

Re-enrolments open 25 March. General enrolments open 1 April.

Late enrolments are usually only accepted for the first 4 weeks of term, until the 26 May to ensure minimal disruption to classes.

April School Holiday Program

This is only available for Infant Aquaticsswim and survive and adult lessons. This is a four day intensive consecutive program to improve swimming abilities over a short period of time. 

Lessons to commence 15 April and finish 18th April. Enrolments now open

Junior Lifeguard Club Holiday Activities

These two hour activity sessions are serious fun! Available for children aged 8-14 years and Stage 6+. Learn or refresh swimming and lifesaving skills. Participants will receive a log book with the completed achievements.

Monday 15 April | Beach & Marine Safety Day

  • Marine stings and other first aid

Wednesday 17 April | Inland Water Safety Day

How do I enrol in swimming lessons?

  • Enrolment Forms and timetables can be downloaded from the links above
  • Complete the enrolment formand email it to aquarena@cgg.wa.gov.au
  • Existing student can enrol in the last three weeks of the term (please see enrolment dates above).
  • New enrolments can be done in the last two weeks of the term.
  • A non-refundable $50 deposit needs to be paid per enrolment (child) to secure a place within 7 days of booking.
  • Full term fees to be paid in full by the end of week two or lessons possibly cancelled.
  • Email to aquarena@cgg.wa.gov.au at any time. Over the counter enrolments are taken at the Aquarena reception during opening hours.
  • For cash or EFTPOS, see reception staff. Payment can also be completed by phone.
  • Priority is given to existing students. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your preferences, however this cannot always be guaranteed.
  • After the enrolment booked has been processed, a confirmation email will be sent to you containing the stage, the day, time of the lesson and the name of the teacher conducting the lesson. Please contact the Aquarena if a confirmation letter has not been received within one week.
  • On the day of your first lesson, come to Aquarena reception and collect your entry card to use the turnstile one full payment has been completed.
