Mullewa Transfer Station
This facility allows Mullewa and surrounding residents to drop off unwanted items for FREE, later transferred to the Meru Waste Disposal Facility where scrap metal, tyres and green waste are recycled.
Scavenging is not permitted at the Mullewa Transfer Station.
Location and Opening Hours
📍Located on Carnarvon-Mullewa Road.
OPEN:
- Tuesday to Thursday (7am to 3.45pm)
- 24hrs (from 7am Friday to 4pm Monday).
Waste separation
The City promotes waste separation and drop-off in designated areas to encourage the reuse of materials and reduce waste to landfill.

The following items are not accepted:
- Asbestos material
- Construction and demolition waste
Commercial loads are to be disposed of at the Meru Waste Disposal Facility located in Geraldton.
drumMUSTER Program
Dispose of eligible agricultural and veterinary chemical containers for free.
✅ Prepare your containers:
- Check for the DrumMUSTER logo
- Triple rinse – containers must be clean and empty
- Remove lids and ensure containers are dry
- Book ahead – call Mullewa District Office on (08) 9956 6643 to arrange access
