Sportsfirst Geraldton and Ivy Vibe are some of the latest retailers to jump on board the Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Card program as load-up stores, allowing gift givers to purchase the cards at even more locations.
Since launch in September 2021, $128,504 has been injected back into the community making Geraldton one of the most successful program participants nation-wide.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn expressed his support for the project.
“The Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Card Program is a brilliant way to keep cash circulating around our community and supporting the locals,” he said.
“We have over 80 businesses registered meaning there is a huge array of goods and services people can purchase when they redeem their cards. So if you are stuck for gift ideas or you are looking for ways to reward your employees Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Cards are the easy win.
“Now is also a great moment for businesses to join the program as there is nearly $70,000 worth of yet unspent cards waiting to be used in the region.”
