A series of family friendly flicks will hit the beach when Films on the Foreshore fires up from this Friday.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was pleased to announce the popular event was returning for a new season.

“Films on the Foreshore is a family favourite and we’re pleased to be able to present another ripper line up of titles,” he said.

“From new titles such as DC League of Superpets and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish to cult classics like The Princess Bride and The Iron Giant, there is sure to be a movie night to please everyone.

“So dig out your best picnic rug, mark your calendars and start your snack list now, as the first film airs this Friday 31 March!”

Kicking off the eight-week season on Friday 31 March is a screening of The Lego Movie 2.

All films are rated PG and each screening will commence from 7pm onward, light permitting.

The full schedule of movies to air at Stow Gardens on the Geraldton Foreshore can be seen on City’s website.

Films on the Foreshore has been made possible thanks to support from Rio Tinto.
