A fireworks extravaganza will wrap up Geraldton’s Australia Day 2026 program thanks to vehicle rental company Europcar WA.
With thousands set to flock to the Geraldton Foreshore for the community event, there will be a bumper line-up of activities for all ages throughout the day, concluding with the crowd-favourite fireworks show.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune thanked Europcar WA for their generous support and invited the community to come along.
“Fireworks are a wonderful way to end what is always a respectful community event,” he said.
“Europcar WA’s Geraldton branch has sponsored the fireworks display for the last five years and I am thrilled to see them continuing to support our community’s Australia Day event.
“Thank you Europcar WA for making the fireworks display possible.”
Known for their outstanding service and wide range of vehicles, the local branch operates locally from Geraldton Airport as well as their CBD branch at 97 Durlacher Street.
Europcar WA Geraldton Branch Manager Kerry Speed said the company is once again excited to sponsor the display.
"As a heavily community orientated business, Europcar WA takes pride in our long-standing support of Geraldton"
"We are blessed to have been able to support this wonderful event for 5 years now and we hope to continue that support for many years into the future
"The team look forward to seeing the fireworks live on Australia Day for 2026"
Inclusive Australia Day events are planned for both Geraldton and Mullewa on Monday 26 January 2026.
The Europcar Fireworks Show is scheduled for 8.30pm at Stow Gardens but may vary due to weather conditions, updates will be provided where necessary via the City’s Facebook page.
The full event program is available on the City’s website.
The delivery of Australia Day programming is guided by the organisation’s commitment to supporting and celebrating the City’s diverse community through events that build social connections.
