Rocks Laneway will be bursting with fresh talent when A Day in the Laneway takes over on Saturday 15 April.

This makers market with a twist will provide an opportunity for young creatives aged 10-26 to show off their wares and sell home-made products.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was thrilled to throw his support behind the idea.

“Geraldton is home to some incredibly talented people, and I cannot wait to see what the next generation of creatives are working on,” he said.

“This market is an excellent way to put yourself front and centre and I encourage young adults to put their name forward for a free stall!”

There will also be plenty of live music, roving entertainment and tasty treats available on the day, along with free creative workshops with Debbie Crothers and the popular clothes swap event.

A Day in the Laneway is being held as part of Youth Week WA celebrations and is the brainchild of a passionate local creative and a reference group of seven young adults.

Expressions of interest for those wishing to hold a stall are open from Friday 27 January until Wednesday 22 March.
