About the position:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Youth Development Team with sporting programs and day to day running of youth engagement activities. This position will be guided by the Youth Development team in the day to day running of youth engagement projects as well as mentoring and support for young people.

This position includes support to the Mullewa Youth Centre, however we are currently advertising for the Geraldton area only. Additionally, this position will work cooperatively with the Youth Development team.

Key accountabilities:

    • Assist the Youth Development team with providing support to run specific after school sport programs
    • Organise and run programmed and ad hoc sports and recreation activities.
    • Engage and establish rapport with young people who participate in programs.

Position requirements:

Successful applicants would ideally have previous experience in engaging with young people in a sporting environment.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A casual rate of between $24.1252 and $30.7250 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
