Foreshore lighting works

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise that streetlight poles located on the Geraldton Foreshore between Forrest Street and the Francis Street Carpark will be replaced as they have reached their end of life.

Works will begin Wednesday 14 October 2026 and will take approximately four weeks to complete.

To minimise disruption, works will be completed in three stages.

Stage one will see the replacement of some of the light poles located on Foreshore Drive between Forrest and Durlacher Streets.

Further announcements will be made once the initial stage is complete.

To ensure community safety, parking bays adjacent to each light pole will be temporarily closed whilst work is in progress.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

For more information visit the project webpage here.

These works align with the Liveable theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to investing in community infrastructure.

If you have any queries please contact the City on (08) 9956 6600 or email council@cgg.wa.gov.au.
