Geraldton Regional Library will play host to the WA Women’s Hall of Fame Photographic Exhibition this month that celebrates the accomplishments and contributions Western Australian women have made to this state.

This year’s exhibition is particularly exciting with the induction of Carol Martin as the first local to be added to the Hall of Fame.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn is looking forward to the event.

“The WA Women’s Hall of Fame Photographic Exhibition always provides such a powerful display of the achievements of Western Australian women,” he said.

“I am extremely proud to have our first resident admitted to the Hall of Fame with the addition of Carol Martin. Carol’s historic journey from Ward of the State to Member of Parliament and her lifetime of service to the community serves as an inspiration to us all.

“I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to take the time to visit the exhibition and learn about Carol and the other incredible individuals who make up the WA Women’s Hall of Fame.”

Inductees to the Hall of Fame are selected through an annual nomination process from one of eight categories: Arts, Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Sport, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The exhibition is proudly supported by SEA Containers WA and will be on display at the Geraldton Regional Library from Monday 28 March – Wednesday 13 April.
