The Autumn School Holiday Program is back in time for the Easter break and it is set to give kids a hopping good time.

The School Holiday Program – a combined effort of local providers – will take place from 13-26 April.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was pleased to show the latest program.

“The Autumn School Holiday Program is the perfect tool to help parents plan their break,” he said.

“Geraldton is going to be bursting with activity this holidays, so get out there and make the most of it!”

Geraldton’s signature event, the Wind on Water Festival, will not only transform the Geraldton Foreshore into a hive of family entertainment on 20 and 21 April, but there will also be plenty of events taking place in the lead up to the event, including kite making workshops, Plastic Fantastic art classes and Kinetic Sculpture sessions.

Those kids who want to make a splash these holidays can enjoy the Aquarena’s four day holiday program and Junior Lifeguard Club, as well as free Stand Up Paddle Boarding lessons down on the Foreshore.

Kids who prefer to stay on land can take part in free kid’s yoga sessions, five a side soccer, creative writing workshops, excursions and crafting classes.

Panaceum Films on the Foreshore will take place on Friday 26 April, with a free screening of Soul Surfer (PG) from 6pm at Stow Gardens.

The Mullewa Youth Centre will also have a variety of activities on offer, including water sports, esports competition, woodworking and a rap and dance show. The centre is open from 11am until 7.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday (excluding public holidays).

With lots more on offer, be sure to check out the full program by clicking here or pick up a hard copy from the Civic Centre on Cathedral Avenue, the Library, Visitor Centre, Aquarena and the Mullewa Youth Centre.
