Seniors Week 2026

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune (pictured back centre) is joined by Arthur (Sharkey) Ryan, Nom Semat, Maria Feragalli, Kevin Ascoli and Cate Jennings to celebrate Seniors Week.

Geraldton seniors are getting ready to celebrate Seniors Week in style and bookings are now open.

From a Buy Nothing Market Day and a Quiz Afternoon to the Seniors Week Lunch, Mayor’s Mystery Bus Tour and Morning Tea, a wide variety of activities are planned.

Seniors Week events are scheduled from Friday 6 November through to Friday 13 November and include both free and paid activities.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune is encouraging all seniors to take part.

“Over the past 12 months, the QEII Seniors and Community Centre has welcomed more than 30,000 participants across its 37 weekly programs and attracted over 300 new members,” he said.

“These figures reflect the importance of initiatives such as WA Seniors Week which encourage older adults to stay active, connected and engaged in the community.

“Older adults are responding to these initiatives by engaging with the programs and benefitting from the activities and networks at the Centre.”

Other events throughout the week include a walk and breakfast, come and try an eBike experience, bingo, an art workshop and more.

Bookings are open and places can be reserved by calling into the QEII Seniors and Community Centre at 88 Durlacher Street or by phoning 08 9956 6636.

Further information and the Seniors Week program are also available on the City’s website.

Seniors Week aligns with the Connected theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting and celebrating the City’s diverse community through programs, initiatives and events, that build social connections.
