The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise it will be undertaking a prescribed burn in Rudds Gully on Saturday 7 April 2018 commencing at approximately 9.00am.
The burn will be located at Lot 2479 Hampton Road in Rudds Gully.
The Cape Burney Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade will be on site to control the burn rate and extinguish the fire by the end of the day.
Prescribed burns are being undertaken by the City to mitigate the severity of bushfires and to help protect lives and property by reducing the build-up of flammable fuel loads.
Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.
The City apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
