Late Night Basketball is set to return to Activewest Stadium on Friday 21 May, after Cyclone Seroja saw the initial season start date pushed back.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was glad the program would still be going ahead.

“Late Night Basketball is a wonderful opportunity for basketball fans of all skill levels to get out on the court,” he said.

“The emphasis is on participation, and with a friendly vibe and incredible volunteers on hand, it’s sure to be an epic six weeks of fun.”

Late Night Basketball is a mixed event for high school students aged 13 and above.

Doors open from 7pm and includes dinner as well as bus drop off home for all participants when games conclude at 10pm.

Geraldton Buccaneers Assistant Coach, Carter Cook, will also be on hand acting as Night Manager to share his wisdom with aspiring players.

Participants can register for the free six week program via Eventbrite.

Late Night Basketball is a collaborative effort between the City of Greater Geraldton, PCYC Geraldton, Geraldton Buccaneers and Meedac.
