Have your say on safety and crime prevention

If you have ideas on improving safety and reducing crime in our community, the City of Greater Geraldton wants to hear from you.

Ideas and feedback received from residents will be used to inform updates to the City’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said when it comes to safety and crime prevention, everyone has a role to play.

“The City works collaboratively with WA Police and other agencies to improve community safety and help prevent crime,” he said.

“We also want to work with residents to ensure localised solutions to these issues and concerns are identified and delivered as part of the updated Plan.

“Residents are invited to take our survey so we can better understand how crime prevention and community safety is perceived by our community and later gauge if actions taken as part of the plan have been effective.”

Community members who take the survey can go into a draw for four $100 Bunnings vouchers.

The Community Safety and Crime Prevention Survey is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGGsafety2023

Paper copies are also available at the Civic Centre at 63 Cathedral Avenue and the QEII Seniors and Community Centre on Durlacher Street.

The survey closes at 9.00am on Monday 20 November 2023.
