Harmony Week is set to bring colour, culture and community spirit as Greater Geraldton celebrates its diversity with a vibrant program of events.
Held across Australia each March, Harmony Week promotes inclusiveness and recognises the cultural richness that communities like Geraldton proudly share.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the week honours and shines a light on the local multicultural community.
“Geraldton is home to many cultures and Harmony Week provides a chance to shine a light on the people that make our City such a wonderful place to live,” he said.
“It’s an opportunity to learn from one another, come together, enjoy new experiences and share our cultural diversity amongst the community.
“This year, we will see a vast number of events taking place that I am looking forward to getting involved in whilst learning more about the different cultures that call Geraldton and the Midwest home.”
This year’s theme, ‘Everyone Belongs’, encourages residents to come together, learn from each other and embrace the spirit of unity.
Harmony Week celebrations kick off Saturday 14 March from 3pm with the annual Harmony Festival presented by the Midwest Multicultural Association.
Events taking place this year include basket weaving with Priscilla Papertalk, an Italian pasta making class, Indian dancing lessons with Soumya, Harmony Week story time at the Library and the QPT Club Summer Film 2026 Monsieur Aznavour.
