Art, adventure, sports, cooking and more are on the agenda as the City of Greater Geraldton rolls out another packed School Holiday Program.
This time around, our young people can look forward to more than two weeks of free and low‑cost experiences, ranging from art workshops and skate‑skills clinics to fun cooking classes.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the packed program gives families plenty of choice these school holidays.
“School holidays should be enjoyable and easy for families and this program gives young people the chance to try new things, make friends and have fun,” he said.
“I am particularly thrilled to see Midwest Youth Fest taking place in the middle of the break and cannot wait to see everyone at the Geraldton Youth Centre on Saturday 11 April for this celebration of our young people.”
“It’s fantastic to see such a variety of activities that encourage young people to get involved and enjoy everything our community has to offer.”
A mixture of familiar favourites and fresh experiences is on offer during these school holidays with the Midwest Youth Fest headlining a packed program of creative workshops, indoor sports, films and a huge range of craft activities.
The City would like to thank Rio Tinto for their support of the program through the Youth Vibrancy Partnership.
Midwest Youth Fest is also made possible through funding from the Department of Communities.
This program aligns with the “Connected” theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan 2025 – 2035, Your Voice – Our Future as well as the Geraldton Youth Strategy 2024 – 2029.
