Get ready for music, markets, food and fun as Midwest Youth Fest takes over the Geraldton Youth Centre next month as part of Youth Week WA 2026.

Set to take place on Saturday 11 April, this vibrant new event centres on the theme, Strength in Our Stories.

It will showcase the creativity of young people from across the region whilst encouraging them to try new things, express themselves and make friends.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune is thrilled to see the event come together.

“Geraldton Youth Centre has gone from strength to strength since we opened the doors last year and there is no better venue to host this celebration of our young people,” he said.

“With live music, market stalls, food, a silent disco, as well as an inspiring art exhibition from local artists, alongside an abundance of engaging activities, Midwest Youth Fest is an event you won’t want to miss.

“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Department of Communities for supporting this event and I urge our local youngsters to get their friends together and come on down to join the fun.”

Midwest Youth Fest is free and open to all ages, with families and young people encouraged to come along and participate in the festivities.

It will be held on Saturday 11 April at the Geraldton Youth Centre from 2pm – 7pm.

On the day, attendees can look forward to live music from local artists, a skateboarding clinic with Infinity Skate, an assortment of games with Fusion Geraldton, cultural face painting and the opportunity to perform on stage during an open mic session.

In the lead-up to the event the City will also be conducting a number of pre-event workshops covering mixed media art, music development and transformative leadership.

Youth Week WA 2026 extends from Tuesday 10 – Thursday 16 April.

Midwest Youth Fest is made possible in part through funding from the Department of Communities.

This event reflects the organisation’s commitment to delivering events that build social connections.

Tickets for the workshops leading up to Midwest Youth Fest can be reserved via Humanitix and further information including the event schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
