Beat the winter blues these school holidays with another jam packed program of activities for the kids!

From soccer clinics, arts and crafts, writing sessions and entertainment galore, the ever popular School Holiday Program returns with a suite of fun for children of all ages.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said there would be no shortage of activities for kids these school holidays.

“We know keeping kids entertained during the school holidays is always a top priority for parents and that’s why we continue to collate and deliver the School Holiday Program,” he said.

“It’s great to see so many local providers come on board such as PCYC, Museum of Geraldton, Ngala, Scrapbook House and the Batavia Coast Maritime Heritage Association.

“So if you’re looking for something to do on the school holidays, check out the Program and start planning!”

There’s some great free events for students in year five and six with a School Holiday Disco at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre, a three day soccer clinic and a mini sports day.

If it’s art and craft your kids enjoy, they’ll be able to attend a DIY kite making session, a fun illustration workshop, cooking workshops, scrapbooking and writing sessions.

Australian writer and illustrator Briony Stewart will host Scribble and Scribe at the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery which includes a morning of word-weaving, brainstorming and character creations.

The Museum of Geraldton also has a number of activities over the two weeks including museum trails, sea monster masks and puppets, and lots more including activities as part of the Houtman 400 Celebrations.

The School Holiday Program commences on Monday 8 July and runs through until Sunday 21 July.
