Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Cards have generated over $50,000 since launching just two months ago, which is money that’s been injected into our community.

And with Christmas just around the corner, City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn is expecting this number to increase considerably.

“Thank you Greater Geraldton for supporting this program! We have sold 613 gift cards in a short amount of time, which we are over the moon about,” he said.

“Every time you shop local, the whole community benefits and the Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Card program is entirely about supporting locals.

“So if you’re scratching your head about Christmas present ideas, consider buying a few of these gift cards! There’s over 70 stores involved and more are joining each day.”

Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Cards are an EFTPOS based community gift card system which promotes spending locally.

Some of the businesses involved include Ascential Float, Cavania Geraldton, Geraldton Bikes, Karl Monaghan Photography, Pink Petticoat, Shine Aviation, Willocks Surf and Yamaji Art.

Gift cards can be purchased at any Rigters IGA Group store or Mitchell and Brown as well as online by clicking here.

The City would like to thank program partners Rio Tinto, GWN7, Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rigters IGA Group and Mitchell and Brown for their ongoing support.
