What items can I donate?
Items that can be accepted for the shop include:
- Furniture
- Household electrical items
- Tools
- Building materials
- Crockery
- Bric-a-brac
- Any other reusable household items
Items that cannot be accepted include:
- Mattresses
- Bedding
- Paints
- Chemicals
The Recycling Centre is NOT a collection point for:
- Aluminium cans
- Car / truck batteries
- Cardboard
- Type 1 and 2 Plastics (drink containers only)
As with cardboard or plastic, these items need to be taken to the tip. Follow the directions provided by the weighbridge operators to be placed at the appropriate location within the facility for recycling.

Summer Hours: 1 November - 31 March
- Open Wednesday to Sunday 8.30am to 2.30pm
- Closed Monday and Tuesday
Winter Hours: 1 April - 31 October
- Open Wednesday to Sunday 9am to 3pm
- Closed Monday and Tuesday

Frequently asked questions
Do you take mattresses and bedding?
No.
I have some donations for the Bowerbird but don’t have a way of getting it there. Can you help?
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to collect donations.
Do you take EFTPOS?
Yes.
Do you accept layby?
No.
Do you accept returns?
No. Items are purchased as seen. All electrical items have been tagged and tested.
Can I leave items at the front gate if the facility is closed?
No.
