To perform at Rocks Laneway, a separate approval is required. To apply, visit the City's website and submit a Rocks Laneway Booking Request under the Online Services menu. The nature of your performance, location and size of your performance area is not to obstruct access to any premises thoroughfare or pedestrian access-way. Should your performance be reported to Council as causing a nuisance to the community or surrounding businesses or at an unapproved site you might be asked to discontinue your activity by Rangers Services. If you are reported on multiple occassions, your permit will be cancelled. Busking is only permitted between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Sunday. Noise levels must comply with the City's Policies and Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997. No electronic amplification is permitted for busking as per Part 3.1 of Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2020. The City of Greater Geraldton shall not be liable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained by you, or the general public, either personal or property caused by or arising out of any act, neglect, default or misconduct during your performance. You are reponsible to obtain your own insurance as the City's Public Liability Insurance does not extend to individual buskers, street performers or fundraisers. Should you choose to continue without personal and public liability insurance, it is done so at your own risk. You must leave the location in a clean and tidy condition. Any damage to the area which can be directly related to your performance will be charged to you and payable within 14 days. Performing is not permitted if there is an event happening in the same area, unless specifically requested/approved by the City. If there is another performer in the same location the City recommends you ensure adequate spacing between yourself as to not interfere with each other or move to another permitted location. The approved Busking Permit must be always carried when performing and produce for examination on request by City of Greater Geraldton employees or Police.
