Walkaway and Wonthella road works

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise road works will begin on Monday 23 March 2026 on the following roads:

• Central Road between Fifth Street and Eighth Street in Wonthella. Road resurfacing works will take approximately five days to complete.
• Allanooka Springs Road from the Walkaway-Nangetty Road intersection to the Shire of Irwin boundary. Road widening works will take approximately 12 weeks to complete. These works valued at $2.3 million are fully funded by the Main Roads WA Regional Road Safety Program.

During the works traffic management will be in place at both locations.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

The City appreciates your patience while these works are being completed.

These works reflect the City’s commitment to the maintenance and connectivity of the City’s transport network.
