Temporary closure of Eastward Road and Alexander Street intersection

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise Stage Two of the Flores and Eastward Roads Roundabout Project will begin on Monday 25 May 2026.

Works will take approximately six weeks to complete and during this time the Eastward Road and Alexander Street intersection will be closed to traffic with detours in place.

Access to the Geraldton Cemetery and Utakarra Ball Park will not be affected. P.S. Chester and Son, Geraldton Rovers Soccer Club and the Utakarra residential area between the cemetery and Edward Road will be accessible via a detour from Edward Road.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.
