Rural road closures due to heavy rain

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise that the Carnavon Mullewa Road along with all unsealed rural roads within the locality of Mullewa are closed to all traffic, with the exception of local residents, until further notice.

Road closures are listed in the Road Conditions Report on the City’s website https://www.cgg.wa.gov.au/road-condition-report.aspx

Drivers are advised to check this report for updates before heading into rural areas.

Local rural residents are advised to use 4-wheel drive vehicles wherever possible, exercise caution and drive to conditions as required to assist with minimising damage to the roads at this time.

The City appreciates your patience while these closures are in place.

These closures align with the Liveable theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to the maintenance and connectivity of the transport network.
