More than $50,000 has been awarded to local organisations through Round 33 of the City of Greater Geraldton’s Community Grants Program.
Seven not-for-profit organisations have received funding to support their delivery of events, education initiatives and training programs.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune congratulated the successful recipients.
“Our Community Grants Program is fundamental to the way the City supports local not for profit groups, and it’s fantastic to see how this funding is implemented to better our community,” he said.
“I’m delighted to see the incredible initiatives that the City will be supporting following this round of Grants.
“If you are part of an organisation that would benefit from a financial helping hand then I encourage you to apply when the next round of funding is announced.”
Community groups who secured funding in Round 33 include:
- Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation $10,000 for YSRC 2025 NAIDOC Community Event
- Headspace Geraldton $10,000 for Headspace Geraldton Therapy Garden Extension Project
- Variety WA Midwest $7,000 for Variety Midwest Annual Kids Christmas Party 2025
- Geraldton City Speedway Inc. $9,608 for Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series Round at Geraldton City Speedway
- Girl Guides WA $4,000 for Growing Guiding: Expanding Access for Girls in Geraldton
- Geraldton Hockey Association $8,000 for Protecting Our Assets, Growing Our Game, GHA Storage Shed Project
- The Churches' Commission on Education Incorporated T/A YouthCARE $5,000 for YouthCARE BUZ Program Training

The Community Grants Program falls under the Connected theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan and reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting and celebrating the City’s diverse community through programs, initiatives and events that build social connections.
