Community Nursery

The City of Greater Geraldton's Community Nursery focuses on producing a wide range of local provenance native plants for revegetation of Geraldton's beautiful natural bushland environment. All of our seedlings are grown by an enthusiastic group of volunteers who are involved in all aspects of growing native plants.

Located at 31 Adelaide Street in Waggrakine, the nursery had a fabulous propagation season in 2018 growing a total of 25,000 plants.

Community Nursery Volunteers capped off a great year by winning the Centacare "Best Volunteering Organisation of the Year" award.

Thank a Volunteer awards 2018

With Spring over, we have now collected and stored all of our seed and are ready to leap into the 2019 Summer propagation season.

New Volunteers are always welcome with no previous experience necessary, just a willingness to learn new things.

If you would like to learn more about the Community Nursery or become a volunteer at the nursery, please contact the City's Infrastructure Services team via email the City or call 9956 6600.
