Community Nursery

The City of Greater Geraldton's Community Nursery is Located at 31 Adelaide Street in Waggrakine and focuses on producing a wide range of local provenance native plants. While treating each other with respect and having a strong line of communication.

2019-2021 season was the first full propagating season for Jeanette Reynolds in the role of Community Nursery Officer who has successfully guided our dedicated team of volunteers to help grow thousands of native plants for the revegetation of Geraldton's natural bushlands, coastal areas and local Parks. This included successfully striking a large number of Chamelaucium uncinatum’s ‘Geraldton Wax’ for Parks and Gardens master plan.

2020-2021 will be very exciting as we evolve even more into expanding propagating activities for long term future planting projects .

New volunteers are always welcome with no previous experience necessary, just a willingness to learn new things.
