Community Nursery volunteers in action

Our dedicated volunteers grow thousands of native plants each year for the revegetation of Geraldton's beautiful natural bushland, coastal areas and local parks.

The volunteers are very excited with the beginning of planting our very own public open space back in September.

Our goal is to grow our own seed orchard for harvesting in the future.

Seed propogation

This seasons propagating has begun.  Our first task was striking cuttings of Chamelaucium uncinatum.  We struck approximately 500.  Great effort.

New volunteers are always welcome with no previous experience necessary, just a willingness to learn new things.

If you would like to learn more about the Community Nursery or become a volunteer at the nursery, please contact the City's Infrastructure Services team via email the City or call 9956 6600.
