Community Nursery

2017 has been a fabulous year at The City's Community Nursery located at 31 Adelaide Street in Waggrakine! Volunteers have grown a record breaking total of 33,000 plants this year. The nursery focuses on producing a wide range of local provenance native plants for revegetation of the natural bushland environment and all seedlings are grown by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. We're well into our propagation for 2018 and thousands of tiny seedlings are peeking out of pots.

Putting Soil in pots in readiness for seedlings

Our growing team of volunteers are involved in all aspects of growing native plant seedlings, new volunteers are always welcome to join in the fun with no previous experience necessary just a willingness to learn.
