Sort Your Load

Separate recyclable, reusable and recoverable items while loading your vehicle.

This will save having to return to collection areas in the Resource Recovery Station you’ve already visited.

How to best sort your load

To make your next visit quick and hassle-free sorting can be as simple as:

  • Grouping similar materials together.
  • Putting all the household recyclables together in boxes or bags.
  • Flattening cardboard boxes.
  • Putting bricks and rubble together.
  • Placing loose grass clippings in bags or boxes separated from other garden waste.
  • Separating timber, metals, electronics.
  • Loading items to drop off at the Bowerbird last.

Secure your load

Don’t forget to restrain and cover the load with tie-downs, nets, rope or tarpaulins before you leave home. This will help keep our streets clean and roads safe.
