Located in the sports youth precinct on Pass Street, Wonthella, the Geraldton Youth Centre is poised to become a hub for community-driven youth initiatives.

With the imminent opening of the Geraldton Youth Centre, the City of Greater Geraldton (the City) is inviting expressions of interest from organisations and community groups delivering programs aimed at young people. Our goal is to foster a dynamic environment that supports youth development and community-based initiatives, aligning with the City's Youth Strategy 2024-2029.

Facility Overview

The Geraldton Youth Centre offers versatile spaces designed to accommodate a variety of activities.

 

Multipurpose Space

Dimensions: 17m x 11.5m

Features: The flooring includes both carpeted and vinyl sections, making it suitable for a variety of activities. The space is air-conditioned, equipped with a wall-mounted projector and drop-down screen. Furnished with 6 round tables, 60 chairs, and 10 semi-circular sofas. It is ideal for a wide range of youth-focused activities including education, creative programs, leisure, arts and crafts, and social or personal development programs.

 

Indoor Multi-Sports Court

Dimensions: 20m x 11.5m

Features: The court is line-marked for basketball, netball, and volleyball, fully air-conditioned, and includes a coach's viewing box and electronic scoreboard. It is well-suited for sports training, coaching sessions, 3 on 3 basketball, and modified versions of various sports and recreation activities.

Fees and Charges:

The City is committed to fair and equitable fee structures that encourage maximum community usage. The Geraldton Youth Centre primarily serves non-commercial users, playing a crucial role in social inclusion for young people and community well-being.
