I can confirm and agree that:

  1. I have read and understood this disclaimer and am signing it to confirm that I voluntarily agree to legally bound by all its content, in consideration for me to be permitted to participate in the event.
  2. I voluntarily assume all risk of (including but not limited to), physical injury, loss of life, economic loss, or loss, damage or destruction of my property, which may be caused or contributed to in any ways as a result of my attendance or participation in the event.
  3. I will not threaten, commence or continue with any claims, demands, actions, law suits or other proceeding against the City of Greater Geraldton, any members of the Events Team, or any other individual or entity involved in organising any aspects of the event, in relation to any physical injury, loss of life, economic loss, or damage or destruction of my property, which may be caused or contributed to in any way as a result of my attendance at, or participation in, the event, regardless of how that injury, loss, damage or destruction occurs, whether as a result of negligence, breach of contract, breach of any statutory duty or otherwise.
  4. This disclaimer may be pleaded as a complete bar to any types of claims, demands, actions, suits or other proceedings by me, or on my behalf as described in paragraph 3.
  5. I will comply with any Covid-19 regulations in place at the time of the event.
  6. I will not use any banned plastic items in order to comply with WA's Plan for Plastics.
  7. In the event of my activities involving children or youth, I shall ensure compliance with the Council Policy - 4.17 Child Safety and Welfare.
  8. I recognise that the City is the event manager of the event and shall follow all event safety and emergency management directions, and any other reasonable directions by the City required to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the event.
  9. We understand that our application may not be approved, if our event entertainment;
    • Has alcohol promotion as the main purpose;
    • Promotes tobacco and gambling;
    • Is discriminatory in nature;
    • Involves endangered animals or cruelty to animals;
    • Threatens ecologically sensitive areas; and
    • Promotes participation in illegal activities.
