Greenough River mouth remediation works

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise that remediation works near the mouth of the Greenough River in Cape Burney will start today, Tuesday 21 April 2026 for a period of approximately seven days.

To ensure community safety the site will be closed to the public during the works.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

The City appreciates your patience while these works are being completed.

These works align with the Liveable theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to managing the City’s natural environment.
