City Update: Cyclone Narelle

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise widespread preparations are being undertaken in response to forecast weather conditions associated with Cyclone Narelle.
To reduce the risk of damage, the City is temporarily removing selected public amenities and making adjustments to various services.
Details regarding preparations, community information and changes to services and facilities will be updated below over the coming days and community members are advised to keep abreast of these updates.
The City is working closely with relevant agencies to ensure the community is prepared for the expected conditions.

Service Updates
- Foreshore swimming pontoons will be removed on Wednesday 25 March and Thursday 26 March 2026.
- The hiring of cats traps is temporarily suspended. Community members are requested to cease all cat trapping immediately.
- The City will not be accepting any surrendered cats until further notice.
Road Closures

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and emergency updates.
