Aquarena indoor pools reopen

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise the Aquarena indoor pools will reopen at 10am today, Thursday 14 May 2026, with refurbishment of the mechanical ventilation system nearing completion.

The indoor changerooms will remain temporarily closed for a short period as works are still in progress however the outdoor changerooms are available for general use.

Patrons with young children are advised that the outdoor showers are cold.

The hydrotherapy changeroom (including a shower with hot water) is open for people with high support needs and their carers.

Swimming lessons and group fitness classes will resume on Monday 18 May 2026. Timetables and registration forms are available on the Aquarena’s website here

The City thanks the community for their patience during these necessary works and assures every endeavour is being made to minimise disruptions.

These works align with the Liveable theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to investing in recreation infrastructure to support current and future needs.
