After a stellar first year, Geraldton’s biggest signature event – the Wind on Water Festival will return in 2019!

The inaugural event in April 2018 made its mark and proved to be very well embraced by the community after having more than 10,000 people grace the Foreshore over the two-day event.

Planning is well underway for next year’s Wind on Water Festival (WoW Fest) which will take place on 20 and 21 April and City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the community would not be disappointed with the line-up.

“We have locked in two more huge acts for the WoW Fest Concert which will draw people from all across the state,” he said.

“Not to mention the program of amazing activities over the two-day event which will draw thousands of people to our Foreshore.

“I know everyone will be eagerly waiting for the announcement of the headline act which is set to happen in the coming weeks so keep an eye out on the City’s Facebook page!”

All the WoW Fest favourites will return including a new installation from String Symphony, kites, sand sculptures, extreme watersports, kids zone, fireworks and entertainment galore.

This is the ultimate weekend in Geraldton for families!

Last year’s event welcomed headline acts The Veronicas and San Cisco as part of the closing concert with more than 2,500 people in attendance.

More updates about the line-up and program of events will be released closer to the date.

The City’s Facebook page will also be releasing regular updates and more information can be found at wowfest.com.au
