Just when you thought the Wind on Water Festival couldn’t get any bigger – a massive line-up has been announced for the 2019 WoW Fest concert.

Aussie rockers The Temper Trap will headline the Concert in April accompanied by up-and-comer Tkay Maidza!

In a huge announcement from the City of Greater Geraldton, the Wind on Water Festival (WoW Fest) will return for a second year and is already gaining traction from people all over the state who will travel to Geraldton for the two-day event held on 20 and 21 April 2019.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said WoW Fest would be back for another action-packed weekend, topped off with a huge concert.

“We’re absolutely over the moon to welcome The Temper Trap and Tkay Maidza as our headline acts for the WoW Fest Concert which is sponsored by RedFM,” he said.

“I know the community are absolutely buzzing over the news and we cannot wait to welcome them to our City and watch them rock the stage on our premier Foreshore.

“After the success of the inaugural event this year – we know that WoW Fest 2019 will be just as big, if not bigger and better.”

WoW Fest hit the scene in 2018 as Geraldton’s biggest premier event.

The two-day festival in 2018 saw more than 10,000 people grace the Foreshore to celebrate everything we love about Geraldton.

The Veronicas and San Cisco performed as the headline acts as thousands attended the RedFM closing concert.

The 2018 event was named in Flight Network’s Australia’s Top Music Festivals of 2018.

With more than a million albums sold; more than 150 million streams on Spotify; a number one album; arena support tours with Coldplay and the Rolling Stones – The Temper Trap are sure to attract a massive crowd.

The Temper Trap broke through in 2009 with a song called ‘Sweet Disposition’ and the band have been producing hits ever since.

Emerging singer/rapper Tkay Maidza who has been described as one of Australia’s most electrifying artists – will also hit the stage.

Bringing a dance-ready yet reflective dynamic, the Zimbabwe-born 20-year-old is set to shake up the audience with her unstoppable magnetic tunes.

Local acts will open the Concert with details to be announced early next year.

The RedFM WoW Fest Concert will conclude the two-day Festival on Sunday 21 April 2019.

Gates will open from 3pm and tickets are now available for $30 at the Queens Park Theatre website.
