Cameras have been rolling in recent weeks after the cast and crew from Stan and Screenwest’s production of Invisible Boys have set up shop all over town.

Based on the book by multi award winning Geraldton author Holden Sheppard, Invisible Boys will be a ten-episode drama series filmed throughout the Midwest and Perth.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune is excited for what the production will mean to the region.

“Greater Geraldton has been a film friendly city since 2019 and we were thrilled to welcome a production of this scale to our region and even more delighted that it is set right here in Geraldton and based on the work of one of our local authors” he said.

“Alongside the direct financial injection into our economy we can also look forward to reaping the longer-term benefits of showcasing our wonderful region to such a huge audience.

“The City has provided considerable in-kind support to the production team and I would like to thank all the City staff as well as the community who have gone above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome over the last few weeks.

“I look forward to watching the show when it eventually hits our screens as well as seeing many of our talented locals whom were included in the cast,” he added.
