Inclusivity and fun will be high on the agenda when the community comes together to celebrate International Day of People with Disability at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre on Friday 3 December.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was eager to highlight the importance of such occasions.

“International Day of People with Disability is a fantastic opportunity to reflect on how society can strive for inclusivity through the removal of barriers for people with disability,” he said.

“We’re proud to be able to host a variety of free events at the QEII Centre that are sure to appeal to people of all ages and abilities.”

The event is scheduled to run from 4pm until late and includes a variety of free activities including live music by Koffee and Kream Karaoke, a Zumba class, Goalball and even a disco.

Participants will also be able to take advantage of a photo booth, face painting, embossing workshops, drumming and even a free sausage sizzle throughout the duration of the celebrations.

This free, all ages event will take place at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre on Durlacher Street.
