December is officially here and that can only mean two things – Christmas is near and so is Geraldton’s biggest festive season event!

The much-loved Christmas on the Terrace will burst into the CBD on Thursday night with entertainers, musicians, decorations, activities galore as well as boutique stalls who will be nestled alongside existing businesses.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said he was looking forward to seeing the CBD absolutely pumping.

“Christmas on the Terrace is one of the biggest events on our calendar and is always filled with so much joy, celebration and activity,” he said.

“This event continues to grow in popularity and attendance each year and we’re expecting to see that once again this year.

“If you haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet, don’t fret – you can do it all at the fantastic Christmas on the Terrace and support local while you’re at it.”

Attendees will be able to meet Santa and pose for photos at the Magic Mirror Photo Booth thanks to the support of Salt Boutique as well as search for 10 reindeers decorated by local schools. Those who find all of the reindeers on the night will have the chance to win an iPad Mini.

Creative Euphorium’s ‘Worst Artist Arcade’ will be in full swing as will be Midwest Bounce and Fun and Hop Upon a Pony. Attendees can also listen to local musicians perform on the main stage in Rocks Laneway and at Blue Heelers’ Community Garden, Geraldton Library and Succulent Kiss.

Christmas on the Terrace is on Thursday 12 December from 5pm – 8.30pm in the Geraldton CBD.
