Geraldton Disability Support Awards

Do you know someone in the Disability Support industry who constantly goes above and beyond? The City of Greater Geraldton invites nominations of people and organisations that provide the highest standard of support to people with disability. The Geraldton Disability Support Awards 2019 will take place on Tuesday 3 December at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre.

Guidelines and Criteria

The City of Greater Geraldton invites nominations for the Geraldton Disability Support Awards from community groups, individuals, industry, organisations and agencies. The awards recognise the effort and achievement of all those who have an involvement with the disability sector.

The recipients will be selected from people and agencies who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, or given outstanding service within the local community over a number of years through active involvement.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nominees must reside or work principally within the City of Greater Geraldton.
  • A person cannot receive the same award twice unless the nomination is for a contribution in a different field.
  • Unsuccessful nominees may be nominated in future years.
  • No self-nominations are permitted.
  • Contact details for Nominator must be stated.

Judging Process

An independent panel will judge the awards. Judges’ decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into by the City of Greater Geraldton.

Presentation of Awards

Awards will be presented at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre as part of International Day of People with Disability on Tuesday 3 December between 9.00 and 11.00am. Light refreshments will be provided.
