Jingle through Geraldton - Business entries

Terms and Conditions

    1. Eligibility & Entry

    The competition is open to businesses located within the City of Greater Geraldton CBD (defined as per attached map)

    Each participating business must have a publicly visible shopfront

    The business must enter a festive themed display

    Businesses must register their participation through the official Jingle through Geraldton webpage by Wednesday 26 November 2025 9:00am

    Registrations received after the cut-off date cannot be accepted

    Displays must be in place by 1 December and be kept up until at least 5 January 2026 to be eligible.

    Businesses owned or operated by CGG employees or their immediate families are not eligible to win; however, businesses where family members of employees work in a minor or casual capacity may still be eligible

    CGG employees or immediate family members are not permitted to enter the voters prize draw

    Entrants under 18 years of age must have consent of a parent or guardian to enter the prize draw

    Participation is free of charge

    Businesses are responsible for ensuring their decorations are safe, securely installed, and do not obstruct footpaths or accessways

    All electrical installations must comply with Australian Standards

    2. Voting

    Voting is open from Monday 1 December to Monday 5 January 2026

    Votes may be cast via the Jingle through Geraldton webpage or via the QR code

    One vote per person, choose your top 3 businesses.

    Any attempt to submit fraudulent votes may result in disqualification

    3. Judging and Prizes

    The top three businesses with the highest number of votes will each receive a prize:

    1st – Premium Business Photography Package valued at $2,500

    2nd – Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Card valued at $1,500

    3rd – Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry Complimentary Membership and Marketing Pack

    Winners will be determined on 6 January 2026 and announced via the City’s website and social media. Winners will also be contacted by email or phone

    Three voters will also be drawn at random to win one of three $100 Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Cards. The winners will be selected by random draw from the eligible votes received on 6 January 2026

    Winners will be contacted by email or phone. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 business days, or if the winner is unable to accept the prize, a new winner will be drawn

    Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash

    4. Use of Images

    By participating in the Jingle Through Geraldton competition, you agree that the City of Greater Geraldton may display your name and image in media releases, websites, and on social media in connection with the competition

    By entering, businesses agree that the City of Greater Geraldton may photograph or film their displays for promotional purposes

    Photos may be used on the City of Greater Geraldton’s website, social media, and marketing materials

    5. Safety and Compliance

    The City of Greater Geraldton reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose display is deemed unsafe, offensive, or non-compliant with these Terms & Conditions

    All participants must ensure their displays adhere to local laws, safety regulations, and property access requirements

    6. General

    The City of Greater Geraldton reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time if circumstances require

    By entering, participants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and all decisions made by the City of Greater Geraldton in relation to the competition

    All information collected will be handled in accordance with the City of Greater Geraldton’s Privacy Policy
