For over 15 years the City of Greater Geraldton have been proud members of the Master Builders Association (MBA), and last week that long term relationship was recognised.

Some of MBA’s newest and longest members came together for the event to network and celebrate the contributions of those in the building and construction industry.

City of Greater Geraldton Chief Executive Officer Ross McKim said that MBA provided vital services to the community.

“MBA are the voice of the building and construction industry and do this through their ongoing efforts in building contracts, training, legal services, industry relations and advocacy,” he said.

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to work, collaborate and support the association for the last 15 years and look forward to continuing those efforts well into the future.

“A big thank you to MBA and all that they do for our local trades, businesses and community.”

MBA Executive Director John Gelavis said the association have been working with a variety of organisations for over 100 years.

“It was fantastic to have all of our members together to celebrate and acknowledge their milestones, including the City of Geraldton, who have been an associate member for 15 years, which is a great achievement and has created a respectful and collaborative culture between industry and local government.

“We thank the City of Geraldton for their ongoing relationship and look forward to a strong future together for the benefit of Geraldton and the industry.”

MBA is a member-based association that services the building and construction industry and is made-up of builders, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. Members are made up of both commercial and residential sectors.
