Arts and Culture

The City of Greater Geraldton has a thriving arts and culture scene. Through various projects and events the City aims to provide opportunities to artists and also give everyone in the community the chance to view and experience art from both local and non-local sources, recognising the importance of art when creating a sense of community and place.

Bollards Art Project

In September 2016 the City of Greater Geraldton put a call out for local artists to create maritime or marine themed designs that would be used to decorate the bollards throughout the City centre.

A series of 20 designs were then chosen a panel of judges before being finally selected by the Public Art Committee.
