Major Projects, Renewals and Refurbishments

The City builds a number of new major projects and undertakes a variety of facility renewals or refurbishments every year.  These infrastructure projects offer residents and visitors better services, amenities, facilities and experiences unique to the Greater Geraldton region.

In the 2022/23 financial year the City will be continue to invest in infrastructure renewals with more than $16.5 million allocated (including $2.3 million of secured grants) to renewing existing assets and $9.4 million allocated to the New Capital Works Program. This investment will continue to clear up legacy infrastructure issues that have long gone unfunded.  It will also provide an important boost to the local economy.
