Have your say about your Councillor Representation

The City has resolved to undertake a review of its Councillor representation to comply with reforms to the Local Government Act 1995  that will strengthen democracy and increase community engagement.  The City is inviting the community to take part in the review.

The purpose of the review is to assess the number of Councillor positions that are appropriate for the City, within the limits of representation as set by the Local Government Reform Proposals. The City of Greater Geraldton Council comprises 12 Councillors and a directly elected Mayor.

How to have your say...

There are a number of ways members of the community can make a written submission about any aspect of representation review. As well as commenting on any aspects covered within the discussion paper, members of the community may suggest any other option they wish the Council to consider in this regard. Council will consider all submissions received within the consultation period prior to making a final decision in relation to this matter.

1. Complete the online submission form here

2. Complete a hard copy submission form in person at the City Civic Centre and Mullewa District Office (addresses in table below). Download a copy here

3. Prepare your own written submission (include your full name, address and contact details) and submit using any of the following three options:

   a. Email to: council@cgg.wa.gov.au

   b. Mail to:  City of Greater Geraldton   PO Box 101 GERALDTON WA 6531

   c. Drop off in person at the following locations:
