Wonthella Oval Flood Lighting
Construction of the 500 lux flood lighting for the Wonthella Oval commenced in October 2015 and was completed end of February 2016. The project includes the installation of four 43m tall towers housing 28 lights. The contract was awarded to local contractor S&K Electrical.
In December 2015 additional works were also approved by Council which include upgrades to carpark lighting, resurfacing of the carpark and the construction of retaining walls, new ramps and hand rails which will enhance access and inclusion for all whilst providing safer access for facility users.
The $1.5 million project is joint funded by Department of Sport And Recreation, Midwest Development Commission Royalties for Regions, Country Local Government Fund, AFL and the City of Greater Geraldton. More information
