The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise there will be works to freshen up the heritage listed Walkaway Public Hall in accordance with the Heritage Conservation Plan 2015.

With works set to commence in September, the City is open to suggestions on the future of the building and how it should be used moving forward.

Works to refurbish the building include:

  • Deep clean the interior of the building
  • Vermin proof the building
  • Prepare and paint the interior
  • Demolish the current toilet facilities and construct a single universal toilet at the rear of the lot

The City is encouraging the Walkaway community to provide any suggestions on how the building could be used and what user groups may benefit from the facility.

To put forward a suggestion, or for more information, contact Fred Block at the City of Greater Geraldton on 9956 6600 or via email to council@cgg.wa.gov.au by 5pm on Friday 7 August.
