Tree removal and maintenance in Beachlands

Published: Tuesday, 5 May 2020 at 2:14:17 PM

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise it will be undertaking the removal of one Norfolk Pine tree and completing maintenance to a second Norfolk Pine tree on Burgess Street between Marine Terrace and Duboulay Street on Thursday 7 May 2020.

The City is always reluctant to remove trees as they add to the liveability of our community, however the removal of this tree is necessary to ensure community safety.

During the works, pending appropriate weather conditions on the day, Burgess Street will be closed between Marine Terrace and Duboulay Street with detours in place.  Access to Batavia Health Centre is still available via Pollard Street.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

The City apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause.

If you have any queries please contact the City on (08) 9956 6600 or email council@cgg.wa.gov.au.
