Geraldton - Mt Magnet Road closed due to bushfire

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise that the Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road is closed from Valentine Road to Northern Gully Road due to a bushfire.

City bushfire volunteers are on scene.

Members of the community are requested to avoid the area, exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

Drones are not permitted near emergency areas as per CASA regulations.

Updated warnings and alerts can be found at www.emergency.wa.gov.au.

The City will advise when the road is open again for traffic.
