Swimming Pools, Aquatic Facilities

The City has three aquatic facilities: the Geradlton Aquarena, the Doc Docherty Pool in Mullewa and the Foreshore Waterpark.

Geraldton Aquarena

The Aquarena is more than just a swimming and recreation facility.  It offers Family Fun Days, Movie Nights, Disco Nights and Learn to Swim education to residents and visitors to the City.

The facility features an Olympic size 50m outdoor pool and a 25m indoor lap pool, leisure pool and a water slide. There are also hydrotherapy facilities and accessible equipment including two hoists, a variety of slings, a pool wheelchair and a commode. The Aquarena offers activities for all, including water polo, swimming squads and group fitness sessions.

Doc Docherty Pool - Mullewa

Situated in Jose Street, the facility has a is 33m long outdoor pool, a toddler pool with water sprayers and play area, a ping pong table and change rooms. Season tickets are available, individually or as a family unit from the Pool Manager.

Opening Hours

October to April

Tuesday to Sunday: 11am - 12.30pm and 1pm - 6pm

Summer school holidays open 7 days per week (subject to variation depending upon seasonal conditions).

Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Foreshore Waterpark

Located on Foreshore Drive between Cathedral Avenue and Fitzgerald Street the Waterpark is a popular place for people of all ages to cool down in the hot summer months.
